The Sri Lanka Press Institute (SLPI) as part of its on-going Right to Information (RTI) awareness program in the country, this week conducted its training in Tamil for the provincial journalists in Batticaloa, Trincomalee and Ampara. The sessions held on the 07th of May 2017 at New Sunrise Hotel, Batticloa, consisted 30 participants from the Batticaloa, Trincomalee and Ampara. The program is designed to promote the use of the RTI Act, communicate the Act in a simplified manner, the benefits of the law and practical issues when requesting for information.
