The Sri Lanka Press Institute (SLPI) as part of its on-going Right to Information (RTI) awareness program in the country, this week conducted its training in Sinhala for the provincial journalists in the Puttalam district. The sessions held on the 28th March 2017 at Royal Green Garden Hotel, consisted 25 participants from the Puttalam districts. The program is designed to promote the use of the RTI Act, communicate the Act in a simplified manner, the benefits of the law and practical issues when requesting for information.
