The Sri Lanka Press Institute (SLPI) as part of its on-going Right to Information (RTI) awareness program in the country, this week conducted its training in Sinhala for the provincial journalists in the Vavuniya and Anuradhapura districts. The sessions held on the 16th March 2017 at Happy Leoni, consisted 25 participants from the Vavuniya and Anuradhapura districts. The program is designed to promote the use of the RTI Act, communicate the Act in a simplified manner, the benefits of the law and practical issues when requesting for information.This Training Programme was conducted by Mr Kamal Liyanarachchi and Attorney/journalist Radika Gunaratne.
