The Sri Lanka Press Institute (SLPI) and Press Complaints Commission (PCCSL) conducted a training to the teachers of the Western Province teachers on the 29th of June 2017 at Western Province Education Department. The program focused on providing awareness on the use of the Right to Information Act, its benefits and application of the same. The teachers were also given an awareness and training of the Reader’s Right and the Editors’ Code of Professional Practice journalists. This session also included the complaint process by a reader to the PCCSL and the resolution process.
